Alabama Dental Association – The ALDA has been very supportive in developing the network from its inception as the Alabama Dental Practice Research Network.
American Dental Association Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry - The center for evidence-based dentistry provides systematically assessed evidence as tools and resources to support clinical decisions.
Canadian Dental Association Oasis- Building a community support for dentists in Canada.
Center for Health Research – The Center for Health Research at Kaiser Permanente is a multi-disciplinary research organization that conducts research on health care, epidemiology, and disease prevention
Florida Dental Association – The FDA has been very helpful by providing support to the University of Florida College of Dentistry as it recruits Florida dentists into the network.
Florida Dental Care Study- This study, conducted from 1993-2000, was a community-based study of patients and dentists that successfully recruited and collaborated with 297 dentists in Florida and Georgia. Its success provided a key justification for establishing a dental PBRN in Alabama, which ultimately led to the former regional “Dental PBRN” and then the National Dental PBRN. The dentist questionnaire from the Florida Dental Care Study was the source of most of the items in the National Dental PBRN Enrollment Questionnaire, having demonstrated test/re-test reliability among Florida dentists for these questionnaire items.
HealthPartners – HealthPartners is a health care organization in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota area. The HealthPartners Institute for Education and Research conducts clinical, health services and basic science research in association with the HealthPartners health care organization to improve the health and health care of its plan members and the surrounding communities.
Health Services Foundation (HSF) - We are grateful to the HSF for providing a $122,000 grant in 2002 to help us establish the infrastructure for the network. Part of UAB, this is yet more evidence of UAB's commitment to improvements in health care from research.
Japan Dental Practice-Based Research Network - Dental PBRN Japan is a research network based on dental practice with a central focus on dental practitioners in Japan.
