On March 14, 2024, the National Dental Practice-Based Research Network (PBRN) had the privilege of visiting Dr. Soileau’s office in New Orleans, Louisiana. During this visit, Dr. Gregg Gilbert, National Network Director, presented Dr. Soileau with a well-deserved award. This recognition celebrates her outstanding contributions and leadership within the dental community.
Celebrating Dr. Kristi Soileau: A Trailblazer in Dentistry
Dr. Kristi Soileau, DDS, is a dedicated periodontist based in uptown New Orleans. Her remarkable journey in dentistry spans decades, leaving an indelible mark on the field. Let’s explore her background, accomplishments, and community engagement:
Dr. Soileau’s passion for dentistry led her to the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, where she graduated in 1985. She continued her post-doctoral education, completing programs in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (1986) and Periodontics (1988). Her commitment to learning extended to a Master’s in Education from the University of New Orleans in 1987. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, she exemplifies excellence.
Dr. Soileau actively contributes to various dental associations, including the New Orleans Dental Association, where she has served as the Editor for the past 25 years and President in 2010. Her involvement extends to the Louisiana Dental Association, where she acted as an Alternate Delegate to the ADA House of Delegates in 2011. Dr. Soileau’s commitment to advancing dental care is evident through her membership in the American Dental Association.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Soileau is deeply connected to her community:
