We are thrilled to share some significant leadership updates within our network. These changes mark a new chapter of growth and excellence, and we are excited to introduce the individuals stepping into their new roles.

Northeast Regional Node Leadership Transition

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Dorota Kopycka-Kedzierawski has assumed the role of Director of the Northeast regional node as of September 1, 2024. Dr. Kopycka-Kedzierawski brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the position. Dr. Cyril Meyerowitz, who has served with distinction for 12 years, will now take on the role of Assistant Director. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Meyerowitz for his outstanding service and welcome Dr. Kopycka-Kedzierawski to her new leadership role.

Midwest Regional Node Welcomes New Assistant Director

We are excited to welcome Dr. Jose Maldonado-Ortiz as the new Assistant Director of the Midwest regional node. Dr. Maldonado-Ortiz joins us with extensive experience and expertise, ready to contribute to our mission. Dr. Brad Rindal will continue as Director. Together, they will drive forward the initiatives and goals of the National Dental PBRN Midwest node. Please join us in supporting Dr. Maldonado-Ortiz in his new role.

New Principal Investigator for DIRR Study

We are pleased to announce a leadership change in our Dental Implant Restoration Registry (DIRR) study. Dr. Nicolaas Geurs, who has been a pivotal figure in leading the DIRR study, has accepted the prestigious role of Dean of the UAB School of Dentistry. Stepping into the role of Principal Investigator is Dr. Joana Cunha-Cruz, the Network’s National Director of Communications & Dissemination. We are confident that under Dr. Cunha-Cruz’s leadership, the DIRR study will continue to thrive and achieve new milestones. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Cunha-Cruz to her new position.
